On Hold
About Birdie - 6 Month Old Fox Terrier
Birdie is a delightful, loving and eager-to-please pocket rocket, who loves nothing more (other than food), than to snuggle in for pats and belly rubs!
Birdie walks well on a lead and responds well to positive reinforcement training. She is very food oriented and shows no signs of resource guarding with other dogs or people. Birdie loves her chew toys (but is not a destructive chewer) and playing fetch with her ball.
Birdie has shown she can be calm and gentle with young children but, like most puppies, will get excited and want to play if they’re running and jumping around therefore dog savvy children are preferred.
Birdie is extremely playful with other dogs but has proven to be a persistent and irritating sibling who won’t take no for an answer. On this basis, she would be best as an only dog in her new home.
Birdie is not a fan of loud noises (e.g. mower, washing machine). She will tolerate them from nearby but doesn’t like being close. So her new family must be committed to working on her socialisation at her pace.
