Spoons might be big (already 18kg) but she's still just a baby! This darling truly embodies the best traits of sighthounds - she lives up to her name by being the best (big) little spoon, and is extremely chilled out and lazy. Don't get me wrong, she loves a good zoom outside, but inside she is right next to you on the couch, or puttering around with you while you do chores.

She is a keen helper, so get used to her nose all up in your business. Spoons already has amazing recall and heel, she wants to be with you at all times. So far she is happy to say hello to dogs if they approach, but she's not one to go run towards others. She would much rather follow you to where you're going than seek out anyone else! She happily jumps in the car to go with you, and has been on outings to nurseries, bunnings, etc with extremely good manners. Her leash skills are phenomenal, she does not pull and walks next to you, though sometimes she may veer in front and trip you!

She would thrive with somebody home more often than not, but she is not a dog who is distressed while you are away as long as she has company. Spoons would do best with a happy friend, but could go as an only dog if people are around through the day.

At this stage, she does not seem to have the typical staghound prey drive and is uninterested in most animals, though of course proper introductions are a must. Children 10+ would be ideal, as she is already large and still jumps like any puppy. She corrects very well, but younger children may get knocked over.

This girl is truly special, with a temperament to die for, she has the building blocks to be the perfect large dog. Are you the one to put in the work?
