Meet Spud – The Ultimate Family Companion
Affectionately known as Tatey, this charming young lad has won hearts with his quirky personality and loving nature. Spud earned his nickname after a memorable kitten escapade involving a baby potato—which he insisted was gourmet cuisine. Thankfully, after a successful surgery and a month of recovery cuddles with our head vet and her family, he’s now in tip-top shape and ready for the next chapter.
Spud is the perfect family pet: affectionate, playful, and full of character. He loves being around people, snuggling up for naps, and exploring his surroundings with wide-eyed curiosity. He’s used to a busy household and would thrive in a loving home where he can continue being the center of attention (and maybe keep an eye on the pantry just in case any more “potatoes” appear).

Medical notes
Had surgery as an 8 week old kitten to remove a bowel blockage caused by a baby potato.
He has recovered completely and should not experience any future complications.

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
