About Archie
A Letter From Archie - The Pocket Rocket
Dearest Future Family,
Greetings from Morayfield!
It's me, Archie, the six-month-old cattle dog cross. Liz and Brett, my super-duper foster hoomans, are helping me type this because paws and keyboards don't always get along.
Let me tell you, life is pretty paw-some here, but I'm ready for my real forever home, and maybe, just maybe, that's with you!
I'm what you might call a "pocket rocket."
I'm small, I'm speedy, and I'm bursting with enough energy to power a small city (or at least keep you very, VERY entertained).
My favourite things include:
Chasing balls and frisbees with the enthusiasm of a gold medalist. I'm still working on the "bringing them back" part... .
Mud. Glorious, glorious mud. Puddles are also acceptable.
Helping Liz (and sometimes hindering) when she’s hosing the garden. Those water droplets are just begging to be chased!
My morning carrot. Seriously, keeps my teeth sparkling.
Following Liz and Brett around like their little furry, multi-coloured shadow.
Apparently, I’m now a toilet break supervisor. It's a very important job.
I’m learning all sorts of cool stuff, like "sit" and how to share space with the Ragdoll cat, (Mr Snuggles is teaching me about personal space, but it is hard work).
Word on the street (or rather, in the backyard) is that I need a family with a big, fenced yard.
I love to run around and play chase with my foster sister.
I'm not a big fan of destroying things, but I do enjoy shoes, and I might dig a hole or two.
Hey, nobody's perfect!
I also love cuddles!
Whether it’s on the couch or in bed, I’m always up for a good snuggle.
But I also appreciate a bit of outside time, getting back to nature.
Liz and Brett haven't taken me for walks yet, but they say I'm a quick learner, so I'm sure I'll be strutting my stuff on the streets and parks in no time.
So, if you're looking for a loyal, energetic, and ridiculously cute companion, look no further.
I'm desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, up-to-date on all my flea and worm treatments, and heartworm negative – basically, a turn-key pup ready to roll right into your life.
My adoption fee is $595
If you think you're the perfect family for me (and let's be honest, who wouldn't be?), send a personal message to this page and tell them all about yourselves.
Tell them why you think we'd be a match made in puppy heaven 🙃
Hoping to hear from you soon
Yours playfully,
Archie, The Pocket Rocket.

That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
