Sweet little Lulu is 6 months old and is looking for her forever home. Lulu came into our care just a few weeks ago, she was sold to an inexperienced family by a backyard breeder and was extremely timid with no-one giving her reassurance. Lulu has spent the last few weeks in foster care, she has come out of her shell and grown in confidence, she is now ready to find a family of her own that will continue to help her socialise and grow.
Lulu is a sweet and loving pup who adores people. While she was shy in the beginning, she’s grown to enjoy meeting new people and absolutely thrives on affection, she’s the type of pup who will climb into your lap for snuggles. Lulu has adapted well to living indoors and prefers to have her family around as much as possible, she’s a classic “Velcro dog” who’s always curious about what her humans are up to. Lulu gets very excited when her humans come home and gets overstimulated, causing her to jump up.
Like most young pups, Lulu can still get a little bouncy at times, whilst she isn’t mouthy, she is entering her teenage phase, her cheeky side is emerging, and she’ll need a family committed to setting consistent rules and helping her learn good manners. With patience and guidance, Lulu will mature into a well-behaved adult dog.
Lulu can still become a little overwhelmed with loud noises and sudden movements, she does recover quickly when given reassurance and has been very brave in her foster home. Lulu may be able to live with children, she would need constant supervision and a safe space away from a chaotic home where she can go for time out. Raising a puppy and children is double the work to ensure that boundaries are set for both furry and human children alike so that they can coexist safely.
Before coming into care, Lulu didn’t have much exposure to the outside world. She’s slowly learning to walk on a lead and discovering that the world isn’t so scary after all. Her forever family will need to continue building her confidence through positive experiences, introducing her to new environments, people, animals, and situations to help her grow into a confident adult.
Bright and food-oriented, Lulu picks up training quickly and would benefit greatly from attending obedience classes, this will not only help her refine her skills but also provide important socialisation opportunities. Along with regular physical exercise, Lulu will need mental stimulation through training, puzzles, and interactive games to keep her happy and engaged.
Lulu was a little unsure around other dogs when she first arrived, putting on her biggest puppy bark to scare them away. Once Lulu realised that the dogs in her foster home were not to be feared, she completely changed her opinion on them and is now stuck to them like glue. Lulu is much more confident around other dogs and leans on them when she is scared and unsure, she looks up to them as a role model about how to engage in different situations.
Lulu will still bark at other dogs on a walk at first, but this is now out of excitement and nervousness rather than fear, she actively wants to say hello to others and has made doggy friends out on walks. Lulu will need to practise keeping calm and greeting others appropriately.
Lulu must live with a male doggy brother in her new home, a confident, friendly dog that is happy to play with a boisterous puppy, but who is also ready to set the boundaries and tell her off when needed too. Lulu can play a little rough but does listen to other dog’s cues well. Although Lulu hasn’t been tested with cats or other small pets, with gradual introductions and proper supervision, she may adapt to living alongside them over time.
Lulu is a delightful, affectionate puppy who has so much love to give. She needs a family ready to invest time and effort in her ongoing training, socialization, and development. Raising a German Shepherd puppy like Lulu is a big commitment, but with dedication, the rewards of helping her grow into a happy and well-rounded adult dog are absolutely worth it.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
