About Pickle
Meet Pickle, an adorable 15-week-old black and white Domestic Short Hair kitten. Pickle can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he comes right out of his shell—and straight into your heart!
Affectionate and gentle, Pickle loves being around his people and will happily follow you around the house, often chatting with you in soft, sweet chirps. He’s a talkative little guy with a lot to say, and his curious spirit means he’s always ready to explore new surroundings or play with his favourite toys.
Despite a challenging start to life, Pickle has bounced back beautifully, demonstrating resilience and a zest for life. He was discovered by one of our nurses whilst walking her dogs. He was alone, with fractures in his back legs and battling an ear infection. Through diligent care and his own determination, he's transformed into a happy, playful kitten who loves nothing more than running around and spreading his joy.
Pickle’s endearing personality and tender nature make him the perfect companion. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll reward you with endless snuggles, playful antics, and heart-melting meows.
Medical notes
This brave little guy came into our care with fractures in both of his back legs, possible pelvic fractures and ear infections in both ears. Likely due to a traumatic injury. Despite all that, he never stopped walking—or purring!
With lots of rest, pain relief, and expert advice from an orthopaedic specialist, Pickle’s legs have healed without surgery, and his ear infections are completely cleared. He’s now zooming around like any other playful kitten and loving life to the fullest!
Fractures to the pelvis can sometimes lead to arthritis in the hip joints as the cat ages, and this may occur for Pickle in his right hip joint. While we are optimistic Pickle will continue to heal and grow normally, we recommend any new owner for Pickle be aware of this issue and be in a position to provide support to him if this occurs, whether that may be supplements, pain relief or surgery.
