About Suzy
Meet Suzy, a three-and-a-half-year-old Dachshund with a heart of gold and a spirit as big as her ears. While she may start off a bit shy and cautious, Suzy transforms into a delightful ball of joy once she becomes familiar with her surroundings and the people around her. Her initially reserved nature gives way to a loving, cheerful personality that will surely capture anyone's heart.
Suzy thrives in patient environments where she can gradually get to know her new family and any fellow furry friends. She tends to be apprehensive on the lead and around unfamiliar dogs, but with some structured introductions and gentle training, Suzy's confidence is bound to grow. Her interactions with cats have been positive, hinting at her potential as a great companion in a feline-friendly household.
Once Suzy settles in, you'll find that she absolutely adores food and gentle pats. Her love for treats can be a great aid in reinforcing good behavior and managing her initial nervousness. Suzy is looking for a calm and understanding family, ideally without small children, to help her blossom into the wonderful, beautiful-natured girl she truly is. Whether she’s curling up beside you, enjoying a delicious treat, or exploring her surroundings, Suzy is sure to bring warmth and charm to your home.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
