About Butternut
Butternut is a stunning bunny with a vibrant orange and white coat. He has been fortunate enough to spend most of his time with us in foster care, where he has thrived under the care of his doting foster parents. Through their love and guidance, Butternut has developed into a confident, affectionate, and adventurous bunny who is now ready to find his forever home.
A true explorer at heart, Butternut loves nothing more than discovering new rooms, corners, and hidden spots. Whether it's an empty box, a cozy nook, or an unexpected hiding place, he eagerly investigates every inch of his surroundings. His boundless energy and curiosity make him a joy to watch as he zooms around, often breaking into enthusiastic binkies when given enough space to run freely.
Unlike many rabbits, Butternut is fearless and incredibly confident. Loud noises and unfamiliar environments don't worry him, he doesn't even flinch at the sound of the vacuum cleaner! Dogs don't seem to bother him either, so he would be a fantastic addition to a multi pet household.
Despite his adventurous nature, Butternut is a well-mannered rabbit who is fully litter-trained. He is diligent about using his litter box, even pausing his explorations to do so. His neat habits make him an excellent indoor companion, especially for those who appreciate a tidy bunny.
Butternut also has a soft and affectionate side. He adores being petted and will happily sploot and relax when receiving attention, especially if you scratch his cheeks and behind his ears. Once he feels truly comfortable with someone, he may even offer sweet little kisses as a sign of his affection.
A true foodie, Butternut has an impressive appetite and enjoys a variety of fresh foods. Some of his favourites include basil, bok choy, blueberries, and small amounts of carrot. However, his absolute favourite treat is eggplant leaves! He does have a few dislikes, though, tomato, zucchini, and mint are simply not to his taste.
For Butternut to be his happiest self, he needs supervised outdoor time or plenty of space to explore indoors. Whether he's hopping around a safe outdoor enclosure or dashing through an open indoor area, he thrives in an environment that allows him to move freely and satisfy his insatiable curiosity.
With his fearless personality, affectionate nature, and zest for life, Butternut is truly a one-of-a-kind rabbit. He would make a wonderful addition to a loving home where he can continue to explore, cuddle, and enjoy his favourite snacks. Could you be the lucky person to welcome this charming adventurer into your life?
