About Scooby
Saved from Death Row: Two Scared Little Souls Searching for Forever Love đ
Boone and Scooby our two beautiful Ridgeback mix puppies are approximately four months old and have a heartbreaking story.
Dumped overnight at a rural pound terrified and confused, they faced the unthinkable.
These sweet siblings spent their first days paralyzed with fear, unable to even stand.
Pound Rangers had to physically carry them, as they cowered in a corner, clinging to each other for comfort.
Even during transport to safety, they were too scared to leave their crate without help and we had to remove the roof to get to them.
However these precious boys are now being fostered, bravely taking their first steps towards healing.
â¤ď¸Meet Boone and Scooby:
Boone: In foster care at Laceyâs Creek.
Scooby: In foster care at Ferny Hills.
While they need separate forever homes, we're seeking forever homes with confident, friendly resident dogs.
Boone and Scooby need the guidance and companionship of another canine to learn to trust and thrive.
â¤ď¸Why a Forever Home Now?
Our amazing foster carers are doing an incredible job, providing a safe and loving environment for Boone and Scooby to begin their recovery.
However, with puppies like these, who have experienced such profound trauma, the best environment long-term is a loving, permanent forever home.
While fostering provides vital short-term care, transitioning them to their forever families now offers a deeper sense of security and stability.
This allows them to build unwavering trust and continue their healing journey with the people who will be their constant companions.
Despite their rough start, Boone and Scooby are warming up, starting to play, and blossoming into the sweetest, most cuddly pups.
â¤ď¸What you need to know:
Age: Approximately 4 months old.
Breed: Ridgeback mix (estimated).
History: Unknown, they were dumped at the pound overnight.
â¤ď¸Personality: Super sweet natures, desperate to trust and play.
Very responsive and keen to learn, and highly food motivated.
They are:
Growing in confidence every day and enjoy nighttime cuddles.
Around young children and other dogs and are completely submissive.
Super snuggly.
Learning house manners.
Like the safety of a crate.
Dog and cat friendly.
Learning what toys are for and finding the brave to play a little bit rough and tumble with the other dogs.
When they are happy, they have the wiggliest little bottoms that will absolutely bring a tear to your eye.
Love to be told they are good boys.
Really want to be involved in family life but still a little shy.
Love humans and the dogs company.
Love comfy beds and sofas.
Would make great family dogs, or great companion dogs.
Important considerations:
They are afraid of jerking or quick motions, so they would need a quieter home with patient owners.
They have coped well with short periods left alone but, as we said, we would love another dog for company.
A large, secured yard will allow them to find their brave in a safe environment.
Socialization will be crucial, but at this stage, they need to learn to get used to the lead in the garden.
â¤ď¸Adoption Details:
Adoption Fee: $625
They must go to separate forever homes.
Included: Vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date with flea and worm treatments.

â¤ď¸Is your family precious enough for these precious boys?
Boone and Scooby need patient, loving homes that understand their past trauma and are committed to helping them blossom into the confident, happy dogs they deserve to be.
