About Agnes
Hi, I’m Agnes
I’m a soft little soul with big eyes and a bigger heart, and I’m hoping to find that one special person who’ll give me the time, love, and patience I need to truly bloom. I’m gentle by nature, and though I start off a bit shy, once I learn to trust you, I’ll show you just how loyal and affectionate I can be.
I get nervous around other dogs, especially the big ones they just feel a bit overwhelming to me. But if the dog is small and introductions are slow and calm, I’ve learned I can be okay. I’ve also been around kittens, and we’ve managed to coexist peacefully without any drama. I keep to myself, and they do the same. We respect each other’s space.
What I’m really looking for is a home where I can be your one and only. I don’t need a busy household in fact, I’d prefer a quiet, calm environment where I can find my footing and build confidence all on my own. I’ve lived with Edith, and while she’s lovely, we’ve both come to realise that it’s time for each of us to grow on our own. We’re both learning how to be brave and we can’t do that if we’re always leaning on each other.
At night, I curl up in my comfy bed it’s safe, warm, and protective a little nest just for me. My days are simple and sweet: I spend my days in the house, go for little leashed walks in the yard, and at the end of the day, I love cuddling up while my human watches TV. I’m still working on toilet training, but I’ve got the hang of using puppy pads, and I’m eager to keep learning with your help.
Most of the time, my human is home, which I love but I’ve gotten used to being alone for short stretches too. I might miss you while you’re gone, but I won’t panic. I’m learning how to be okay on my own.
One of the sweetest things I’ve picked up is how to touch my nose to your hand when you reach out. It’s my quiet little way of saying “hello” and showing you that I trust you. I’m not the kind of girl who will come bounding into your lap at least, not right away but every day I take a few more steps forward. I just need someone who understands that love takes time.
Walking on a lead used to feel scary, but I’ve started to enjoy our slow strolls. I stick close and love sniffing around, but I do get startled easily, so I’ll need a very secure yard.
I’m not a big barker. You’ll usually only hear me if I get separated from my friend or if a new dog comes into the house. Otherwise, I’m a quiet companion the kind who’s just happy to be near you.
What I really want more than anything is someone to believe in me. Someone who sees the sweet, sensitive little dog behind the nerves and understands that with time, I’ll be a gentle, loving shadow at their side.
If you’re patient, kind, and looking for a best friend who’ll love you with her whole heart I think we might be a perfect match.
With love,
Agnes
