About Mana
Pre-adoption; Mana is not ready to leave his forever home for a number of weeks as his vet work is not yet complete.
Meet Mana, a native Maori word, meaning; Leadership, strength and spiritual power, deeply symbolic of his journey so far here on earth.
From the first day Mana was born in foster care, he has been a the journey. With it's severe ups and downs, Mana's strength has prevailed and he is surely day by day growing into a confident little boy who brings spunk, joy, and adventure wherever he goes. He’s always exploring and has a natural curiosity that makes every moment exciting. With his bright, adventurous spirit and balanced energy, he knows exactly when it's time to play full-speed and when it’s time to slow down for a cozy cuddle. He’s an active, social kitten who thrives on making new friends, both feline and human, and who isn’t afraid to show his bold, affectionate side.
Mana is fantastic with other cats, having grown up surrounded by foster siblings. He doesn’t mind if his playmate is bigger, smaller, older, or younger, he just loves a good game and good company! But YOU, and the special time you spend exploring, playing, and snuggling, will always be his favorite thing.
Mana must be adopted alongside Portia and Astro (a beautiful mother and sister duo). This bonded trio have formed a deep connection through shared grief and healing, supporting each other as they rediscovered the joy and magic of life. They are now ready to bring that same love and resilience into a new forever home.

BD Fur-Rescue does not have a physical location so therefore we ask that you fill out an application form to adopt one of our beautiful feline souls.

Our adoption process aims to ensure a long lasting relationship for you and your adopted feline friend.
Following the submission of your application, BD Fur-Rescue can then make a balanced judgement to see if your lifestyle will suit one of our fosters.
There are no right or wrong answers, these questions are purely aimed at assisting us find the perfect companion for you and fur-ever home for our fosters.
Once your application is submitted and reviewed (please click here https://www.bigdollansfurrescue.org/pages/adopting to submit your application), a foster carer will contact you via phone to potentially arrange a meet and greet.
This line of work is purely volunteer based work, so please be patient with the turn around time. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner to keep the adoption process moving forward as quickly and smoothly as possible.
