About KIP
Kip is an outstanding young dog! Smart, calm, and incredibly friendly, Kip is the perfect companion for someone looking for an active and loyal dog.
True to his Kelpie roots, Kip is energetic and would thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and explore — ideally on a property or acreage.
Kip has a beautiful, calm temperament and gets along wonderfully with other dogs.
He has had some previous training and is well-versed in the basics, like sitting on command. Thanks to his intelligence and eagerness to please, Kip is very responsive and quick to pick up new skills.
Kip would suit an active family or individual who can give him lots of time and exercise. If you're looking for a dog to have adventures with, Kip might just be the perfect match.
Come meet Kip — he’s ready to steal your heart! To make a time to come and meet Kip, please contact our Shelter Manager, Yvette on 0421 831 128.

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
