Cookie *On Trial*

*cookie is currently trialling his new home* this spunky little dog is cookie and he’s looking for a loving forever home – will it be with you???

cutie-pie cookie found himself surrendered to our local pound through no fault of his own so we had to step in and save him from this terrifying experience. He’s now settled into foster care and is having a ball with his carers’ young male pup, they even sleep cuddled up together at night!

cookie is a lovely little dog who isn’t at all “in your face”, he can even be a bit shy when you first meet him but he soon warms up. He’s great with other little dogs (he hasn’t met any big dogs yet…) and he’s also terrific with his carers cat who he’s more than happy to stay out of the way of! cookie is house-trained and has lovely manners, he can often be found curled up under his carers desk while she’s working or beside her chair if its tv time. He hasn’t spent much time on a lead so his carer will be helping him with this. Being a little fella, who weighs in at 5. 15kgs, cookie’s a terrific “take anywhere” size and is fairly low maintenance, only requiring a run around the backyard or a walk around the block to use up his energy. Secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated will make cookie very happy indeed!!

cookie would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s settling in to his new home.
