About Scooter
Introducing Scooter!
Scooter is a Cattle x born approx 7th April 2022.
Scooter was brought into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray and unfortunately no one came looking for him.
Since being at the facility Scooter has been an incredibly sweet boy who loves cuddles and scratches from staff & volunteers. He's definitely a ladies man and knows exactly how to get the girls swooning over him.
Scooter is one of the most ball obsessed dogs we've ever encountered. While doing his behaviour assessment he was too concerned with where his ball went to notice our hands in his food. He walks perfectly on lead if you have a ball in your hand. He enjoys training if his reward is his ball and he was too focused on playing with his ball to notice he was being left alone.
Being a working breed, Scooter will need lots of mental & physical exercise to ensure he doesn't get bored/destructive, however he will gladly chase/play with a ball for hours.
Unfortunately Scooter didn't test well with other animals so he will need to be the only animal at home.
We have found Scooter to be absolutely terrified of water, but very good with handling while drying him after a bath and basic brushing.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Scooter will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Scooter has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
Scooter's adoption fee is $475 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration.
Scooter is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
