About Matilda
Miss MATILDA arrived to Ark with her brother. This gentle girl is full of personality, often talks to you when she has something to say. Loves the company of people and will be your shadow.
Matilda is a purebred Maremma dog. This breed is mostly bred to be guardians of livestock such as sheep. This means they have wonderful relationships with animals and vulnerable people such as children. Their nature is to protect and ensure their surroundings are safe.
Maremma dogs like Matilda often do not trust people straight away. Often wary and will keep their distance until trust is made. Matilda is learning to trust her foster carer. She is showing lots of love and affection towards them as well as their toddler children, cats and dogs.
Matilda would be best suited in a home with a yard, she would not be suitable as a working dog.
