12 Rescued Canaries Seeking Loving Forever Homes!
Meet the Canary Crew, a group of 12 charming canaries of unknown ages, each ready for a second chance at life!
Their Story:
These adorable birds were rescued from heartbreaking conditions. Their previous elderly owner, undergoing chemotherapy, was no longer able to care for them. Left with only a bag of seed and no water, many sadly didn't survive. When Kiwi’s New Life Bird Rescue arrived, they found the survivors severely dehydrated, with some birds collapsed and others taken by rats.
Lazzi’s Legacy has taken over the care of 12 of the survivors, and they will live in our aviary while new homes are found.
Health & Care:
✔ Vet-checked
✔ Clear faecal results
✔ Flock chlamydia testing underway
These birds need room to stretch their wings, and a diet of fresh chop, greens, quality seed & crumble. They love shredded paper toys, sola balls, natural browse and soft wood such as balsa. You will spend your days listening to their beeps, chirps and occasional songs.
They will only be rehomed in pairs or into homes with existing canaries. They are flock animals, and will not be happy being alone.
Available from Carrum Downs or Scoresby
If you can offer a caring, spacious home to these brave little souls, please reach out!

Adoption details
Our adoption process starts with a conversation and a series of questions through email. This allows us to get to know you and your home, and helps us to find the perfect fit.
Once we have picked out a bird for you, there will be a four week foster period where you will trial your new family member. If things don't work out, we can either trial another bird in your home or we can offer a return of adoption fee.
If your new bird fits in well and you wish to be their forever home, then all is well!
