About Joey - 9 Week Old Wolfhound X
Say hello to Joey, a 9-week-old Wolfhound x, with a heart as big as his future paws! This sweet boy is a blend of playful energy and irresistible puppy cuddles. The moment you scoop him up, he wraps those oversized paws around you and melts right into your arms—it’s love at first snuggle.
With his soulful eyes and adorable face, Joey is impossible to resist. He’s confident, curious, playful and already stealing hearts as he explores the world around him. Joey loves chasing toys, romping around the backyard, and keeping up with his foster family wherever they go. After a big play session, he’s all about cozy couch snuggles and nap time with his humans.
Joey is proving to be one smart cookie! He’s making excellent progress with toilet training, learning to sleep in his crate at night, and is already mastering basic commands like “sit.” With the right guidance (and a few tasty treats), this clever pup is eager to keep learning.
He adores the resident Golden Retriever and the household cats—though he’s still learning respectful boundaries with them. If you have other pets, Joey will need a bit of supervision at first as he learns to play politely. When he is on his own with his people, Joey shows his softer side, snuggling up and soaking in all the love—so he'd also thrive as a solo pup in a home where his people are around often.
What Joey’s Dream Home Looks Like:
• A committed, experienced, loving owner who understands the needs of large-breed dogs.
• A home ready to continue his training journey with puppy preschool and positive reinforcement at home.
• An active lifestyle with daily walks, games, and enrichment activities.
• Another dog? Great! Preferably a patient, large-breed buddy—just give everyone time to adjust.
• Lots of love, cuddles and quality time.
• A secure and spacious yard where he can play and explore, and a comfy spot indoors where he can sleep and feel safe at night.
• Ideally someone home often while he’s still little and learning the ropes.
• Singles, couples and families with older kids (above 12) would all be suitable as Joey loves people.
If you’re looking for a smart, loving, and utterly adorable companion who’ll grow into a loyal best friend, Joey might just be your perfect match. Don’t miss out on this special pup—he’s ready to bring joy, cuddles, and a whole lot of fun into your life. 💙
Joey’s adoption fee is $800 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Joey is in foster care in New Lambton, Newcastle, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he is approximately 6 months old.
