About Wilfred
Wilfred: From Burn Survivor to Cuddle Connoisseur! 🔥➡️❤️
Okay, let's not sugarcoat it, my start to life was ROUGH.
I’m Wilfred, and at just 10 weeks old, I was found abandoned with my siblings, and we were suffering from nasty burns. Pretty grim, right? But thanks to some superhero rangers and a super-dedicated foster carer, we ALL pulled through!
Now, I'm about four months old and living the good life in Brisbane with a fantastic foster family.
I'm basically a social butterfly. I get along with everyone, including human kids and other doggos. I'm playful, curious, and love bombing everyone with affection. I might have missed out on some of that puppyhood fun in the beginning, but trust me, I'm making up for lost time with EXTRA enthusiasm.
Breed Guess? 🤔 Your guess is as good as mine! They think I might be a Cattle Dog cross, maybe with a splash of Ridgeback, but honestly, who knows ? I’m a unique blend of handsome!
My Scars? Yeah, I've got some! Primarily down my back but they are partially covered with fur. They’re a reminder of where I've been, but they DON'T define me. I'm focused on a future filled with belly rubs, squeaky toys, and maybe a tiny bit of mischief.
Personality Quirks:
• I'm a rock collector
• My taste in possum poop is questionable 💩
• I'm a mini escape artist (the playpen lasted approximately 24 seconds)- baby gates can’t hold me in either 😊
• I sleep through the night, snuggled in my crate with my teddy 🧸
• Everything on the floor? Fair game
• My zoomies often end in graceful flops
• I believe every bed in the house is mine—because it is
• I will sit and lie down for treats 🍪
• Lives for cuddles
• Finds the one sunbeam and parks myself like a solar panel ☀️
• Toilet trained and proud
• Fetch enthusiast
• Loves gardening, especially pruning indoor plants.
• Gentle soul around tiny humans
• Reminds you I’m there with a soft boop to the leg
• Super smart
• Great with little kids
• No accidents in the house. Wees and poos all in the garden
• Answers to my name as well
Now, I am a little nervous in the car. But hey, who isn't?
We can work on that together..
I'm currently chilling in foster care in Cashmere, North Brisbane, waiting for my forever human to find me.
I'm looking for a family who:
• Has a HUGE heart ❤️
• Can offer me a lifetime of love, cuddles, and adventures.
• Understands I need a little patience and understanding
• Won't judge my questionable taste in snacks.
If you think you could be my perfect match, send a message telling me all about yourself, your family, and how you can give me the best life ever!
The Fine Print: I'm vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm-treated. My adoption fee is $625, which includes my desexing at one of the rescue's partner vets when I'm around six months old.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
