About Penelope
Meet Penelope
Penelope is a stunning young cat who came into DCH care with her 4 kittens from a shelter. Despite being very young, Penelope was a nurturing and sweet mama to her kittens, up until they all joined their forever families upon adoption. It is now Penelope's turn for a wonderful life.
Penelope is very friendly and affectionate, even to people she just meets for the first time. She loves to sit next to her hoomans as they watch tv or lounge in the living area where the family congregates. She climbs cat trees and chills by the window in the sun. She is so sweet and nurturing that every time we welcome a new litter of orphaned kittens, she immediately adopts them as her own, grooming them and teaching them how to clean themselves, go to the litter box for their toilet, and even playing with them.
Penelope loves to eat wet and dry cat food. She is litter-trained on sand, pellets and crystals. She is quiet and chilled but will also play with cat plushies (her favourite is a taco plushie), feathers and balls. She respects furniture, clothes and shoes. She is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.
If you are looking for a sweet, chilled, playful cat who is very low-maintenance and quiet, then you should meet Penelope.

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
