About Daisy
If you're dreaming of a long-legged, shaggy sweetheart to gallop into your life with goofy grace and endless charm - Daisy the 9 month old Staghound girl is the one you have been looking for.
Daisy is a bright, bubbly pup, with a beautiful black/brindle coat and the kind of gentle soul that melts hearts in seconds. Affectionately known as the Shaggy Greyhound, Daisy combines the elegance of a greyhound with a scruffy, teddy-bear twist. She's playful, affectionate, and absolutely adores the company of other dogs - especially medium to large breeds who can keep up with her zoomies and cuddles.
Daisy is best suited to a cat-free household (and one without any feline ambitions - she's got hound instincts, after all!). She thrives in the company of other dogs and would love a canine companion who enjoys a good play session followed by a nap in the sun. She's previously lived with young children and would be a wonderful family addition for homes with kids aged 6 and up.
Daisy is not only eager to please, but great on a lead, responsive to any command asked of her and also brings along with her adoption endless love and tail wags,
a loyal, long-legged best friend who provides the softest surface for snuggling.
Add to all of this a playful energy balanced with couch-potato charm following the joy of watching her zoom, flop, and repeat.
Daisy is ready to bound into your world, fill your home with laughter, and stretch out her shaggy legs in her new favorite spot - right next to you.
Could you be Daisy's forever family?
Let this gorgeous young hound gallop into your heart and stay there forever. 🐶💕

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
