About Rush
Rush is an energetic sweet natured Kelpie X who literally loves EVERYONE. People and other dogs are his absolute favourite things in life... well, that and food!
Both these personality traits mean Rush is easy to have around and is also very trainable.
Rush and his brother didn’t have the best start in life, coming from a rural pound and saved from euthanasia with just an hour to spare, hence his name. On arrival in Victoria, they were found to have ring worm, so his first weeks in care were spent in isolation, but at least he now had enough food and was receiving appropriate treatment.
Once his quarantine period was served, he joined normal life in foster care as an extremely happy and easy going dog. He is still learning manners such as not jumping up and how to play appropriately with other dogs, but he has come on in leaps and bounds and there is absolutely no sign remaining of his tough start to life.
Rush would love an active family to call his own. He would love to attend sports games, walks and car rides. Rush will then be happy to chill with his family at the end of a busy day. To ensure Rush has the best manners and behaviour, he will need to attend obedience with his new family. He would also benefit from having regular play dates with an appropriate older dog who can continue his dog socialisation skills. Dog parks would NOT be appropriate at this stage as he is still learning doggy manners.
Rush would suit a single, couple or family. Children should be older, as his enthusiasm for life may be overwhelming for small humans.
Rush is a blank canvas, waiting for his adoptive family, to paint the story of his new life.
