Love squared
Are you looking for some low maintenance devotion? Wally and Ollie are a
delightfully bonded duo whose world has been turned upside-down by the
loss of their loving person. These two senior boys were rescues whose
person gave them the love and low-key life they needed to come out of
their shells and enjoy their small but rich world. Now, they are looking
for another safe harbour where they can relax and fall in love again.
Wally and Ollie are housetrained, pretty self-contained as long as they
have each other and used to being indoor dogs, but have recently
discovered the joys of a sunny backyard. They sleep well through the
night in their beds and are not morning dogs, preferring a solid lie in
befitting their mature years. They have been leading a pretty quiet life
so can be a bit timid when faced with new people and experiences. But,
once you gain their trust, they attach quickly and are cutely
affectionate, with their love for their person shining through.
The boys have not had a lot of experience of the big wide world but have
proved in their current digs to be interested in the occasional stroll
and fine on lead; Ollie can get a bit barky when he sees other dogs,
while Wally is very chilled. They are reliable when left to their own
devices around the house and, while they enjoy some snuggle time with
their person, they are not overly-demanding of human attention. They are
not very experienced travellers, but can cope with the occasional car
ride when needs must. The boys can be a little wary of being handled by
strangers, but are used to being groomed and visiting the vets. They are
both in reasonable health for their ages.
Wally and Ollie are looking for a quiet home with a single person or
couple with whom they can bond and enjoy their twilight years. They are
homebodies who do not ask for much more than to be together with someone
to love who loves them in return. A sunny spot, some soft beds and an
occasional chance to smell the flowers would suit these two very well.
If this sounds like the kind of life you too enjoy, Ollie and Wally
would love to hear from you.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
