About Monty
Monty is in foster care at Mannus Correctional Center. NSW.
Meet Monty, a sweet and outgoing Maltese mix who is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. At 10 years young, Monty is always up for some quality cuddle time and will melt your heart with his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than being petted and is happiest when snuggled up next to his favorite humans.
Monty’s delightful personality extends beyond people—he gets along splendidly with other dogs and even cats, making him a versatile and congenial companion. His walking etiquette is impressive, as he is great on a lead, turning daily walks into a delightful experience for both. Monty would thrive in a home with older kids where he can be a part of a loving family that appreciates his warm presence.
Despite his senior age, Monty is a remarkably happy adventurous boy who brings joy to everyone around him. If you're looking for a devoted and cheerful furry friend, Monty is ready to fill your home with love!
Medical notes
Monty has a previously fractured mandibular symphysis, secondary to history of dental disease. Monitor for any signs of discomfort when eating/drinking.
He otherwise passed his vet check
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
