About Dorothy
Hi there! I’m Dorothy, and I’m a happy, playful girl who’s learning all about the good life!
I get along pretty well with my friend Shirley, even though she can be a little grumpy sometimes. I try to give her space when she needs it, and most of the time we do okay together. I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react to them. I might be okay, but it would be best to introduce me slowly and see how it goes. I think I’d be happy as the only dog in the house, but I could also live with another calm dog who understands boundaries.
At night, I sleep inside a cozy puppy pen where I feel safe and comfy. During the day, I get to hang out in the sunroom and I go outside for playtime. I’m only left alone for a couple of hours, which is just fine by me.
When it comes to people, I’m a social butterfly! I love meeting new people and I’m usually pretty friendly and relaxed. My favorite things in the world are tennis balls, running around outside, and doing zoomies! I also enjoy soft toys and treats, basically, anything fun or yummy.
I’ve been working on my training and I’m doing well! I’m getting the hang of sitting when told and I come when I’m called most of the time (especially if there’s a treat involved). I know how to use pee pads and I’ve been pretty good with my toilet habits. I’m still figuring out how to walk on a leash it’s a little confusing, but I’m trying my best.
I don’t show any strange behaviors when I’m in the yard, and I’m a total champ at the vet. I’m not shy about using my voice though — I like to bark, especially if something exciting is happening! I’ve got a lot of energy and love to play, but once I’ve had my fun, I’m more than happy to curl up for a nap.
I don’t need a super-tall or fancy fence, I’m not a jumper just something secure to keep me safe.
One of the cutest things about me is that I smile! Seriously, people always say it’s the sweetest thing when I grin at them. I’d love to find a forever home where I can keep smiling every day.
Love Dorothy x
