About Dox - 65687
Meet Dox - A 56kg Hunk of Love!
Dox is a big, handsome boy looking for an experienced home that understands the needs of large breeds and is ready to welcome him as a true family member.
Having spent most of his life in a backyard with limited exposure to the outside world, Dox has blossomed into a total lovebug who charms everyone he meets. While his first interactions with other dogs were a bit shaky, he's made great progress and is discovering that doggy friends can be fun! For now, he's best suited as the only dog in the home, but with ongoing, well-managed socialisation, he can continue building on his canine manners.
Dox is still learning the ropes of an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and would benefit from a patient home willing to show him the way. Because of his size and playful energy, he would be best matched with older children who are comfortable with a gentle giant as their buddy.
On walks, Dox can be very strong on the lead, so his new family will need to be physically capable and committed to helping him refine his leash skills and basic training. He's eager to learn and thrives with guidance. Dox is untested with cats.
If you're ready for a loyal, goofy, and affectionate companion who will reward your efforts with unconditional love, Dox might just be your perfect match!
