About Godfrey
Meet Godfrey, the endearing 1-year and 8-month-old dachshund with a quiet yet sweet disposition that's bound to win your heart. With his gentle nature and love for gentle pats, Godfrey is seeking a patient and loving family ready to nurture his shy side and encourage his growing curiosity about the world.
Although initially reserved and quiet, Godfrey's confidence blossoms once he feels secure in his surroundings. He may take some time to settle in, but with your support, he will truly come out of his shell and show his more outgoing side. Godfrey is looking for a family willing to invest a bit of time in lead and basic training to ensure he grows into a well-mannered companion.
In terms of social life, Godfrey seems a bit wary of cats, so a feline-free or dog friendly feline environment would suit him best. However, he is more sociable and at ease around dogs his own size, making him a suitable companion for a small dog household. Godfry has show himself to a bit of a digger so a very secure yard is necessary for this escape artist.
If you're ready for the rewarding journey of welcoming a gentle-hearted friend into your home, Godfrey might just be the perfect match. His sweet nature and loving heart await the special family who will help him thrive.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
