About Daisy
Introducing Daisy,
Daisy has a massive piece of our hearts here at FTBK Rescue, so we are on the lookout for her perfect home.
Daisy popped up on my face book feed one night with her owner needing to give her away as they were unable to afford her medical bills. little Daisy was diagnosed with IVDD, and her prognosis was very guarded. We reached out to her owner as here at FTBK Rescue we have access to a fully qualified hydro therapist with ACRA "LAW K9 GYM", and we knew we could give Daisy a chance. Upon her arrival we consulted with our vets and commenced a hydro program. To everyone's including the vet's amazement, little Daisy started walking again just some short 3 weeks after coming into our care.
Daisy is still on 2x weekly hydrotherapy sessions to help build and maintain strength in the back. She is not allowed to jump or over exercise as jumping/twisting could aggravate her IVDD.
There are some strict requirements that will need to be met from her new owner:
1. At this stage we are looking for someone local who will continue her hydrotherapy sessions as without this, she would not be here today getting a new chance of life. This MUST be done through LAW K9 Gym at either their Tuncurry or Failford facility.
2. She must continue with her supportive supplements to aid in her maintenance to stay strong and healthy. She is currently on CBD oil, tuff rock supplement, 4cyte and Antinol Rapid.
3. She does show some signs of skin allergies, especially to Chicken. We have been feeding Lyka and would like her to stay on it as she does really well and maintains a great weight, again something that needs to be kept under control so as not to put more weight on her spine.

Adoption details
Once an application has been submitted, we require evidence that you own your home or a letter from the real estate allowing a dog. We will then ask for some photos of your yard to ensure the property is suitable for the dog. We will then organize a meet and greet and will need any existing dogs to come for a play date. Once that is all sorted, we will then get you to complete the adoption forms.
