About Krispy Kreme
Do you have a sweet tooth ?
If the answer is yes then the sweet little Pomeranian x Maltese boy Kripsy Krme is definitely the boy for you
Introducing the sweetest and cutest little boy Krispy Kreme aka Krispy. This little fella has come a long way in foster care. He is such a happy, gentle, sweet, and loveable little fella. He loves his foster mum and the foster kids when they’re not so noisy!lol When the kids are playing inside or outside, he can get a little startled by loud noises but is getting better and more confident the longer he is with his foster family. He is also happy playing with his K9 friend, going on walks and playing with his soft toys but would much rather be getting love and attention from his foster family. He does love getting lots of pats and cuddles- he’s such a smooch- he will sit there for hours if you pat him. And boy does he love his food and treats. 😊
Favourite Things
Krispy Kreme loves to be involved with his foster family whether it’s, following his foster mum around the house or playing with his K9 friend in the backyard with their toys. He loves to chase his K9 friend around the backyard and play chase. He now loves his walks, he was a little unsure at the start, but now he loves to sniff the grass and see what’s happening in the world around him. He didn’t walk the best on the lead but is getting better every walk we go on. He can still get a little fright here and there, but he has desensitised a lot. He loves his foster family to pat him and rub his belly- basically any form of affection, he wants it all. He also loves a cuddle on the couch when the house settles for the night.
Interactions With Humans
Krispy Kreme was unsure of meeting his foster family but, with his sweet nature he warmed up very quickly especially with treats. He didn’t take long to learn that his foster family was there to love him and keep him safe. He can be unsure when meeting new people but if you are patient and have yummy treats you will win him over easily. Once he knows you, he won’t leave you alone lol he will be requesting lots of pats and kisses. He gets very excited when his foster mum gets home for the day, he jumps in excitement like it’s Christmas. He has been very sweet and kind to the children in the home but, he does prefer a quieter home than a loud crazy one. So, if there are Children in the home, the quieter and calmer they are the better. But as mentioned earlier once he knows you, he will be your bestie for life.
Obedience and Training
Krispy Kreme hasn’t had much training and needs a patient family to teach him to sit, stay and continue with guidance on the lead. His new family will need to help him with his toilet training with regular reminders to go outside but he is doing really well and not having many accidents inside. He also hasn’t worried about marking his territory anywhere- which is great. He sleeps in his crate in the lounge room every night with his K9 friend and will quietly go straight to sleep once he has his bedtime treat. He also hasn’t had any accidents overnight in the crate. Krispy travels well in the car in a crate and is just happy to sit there and enjoy the ride with you. He didn’t make any noises or get car sick.
Animal Social Skills
Krispy Kreme has been in foster care with cats, and he couldn’t care less about them lol he was not fazed at all, and he gives them space and respects them. Krispy is very dog friendly and doesn’t get all up in their face. He hasn’t shown any signs of nastiness while being in foster care towards his K9 friend and, he can be annoying sometimes lol
Medical
Krispy has had a full professional groom . has had a full dental and teeth extractions is desexed . wormed and vaccinated
Food
Krispy Kreme is a massive foodie! He loves his breakfast and dinner which consists of good quality dry food. He scoffs it down like it’s his last meal. He hasn’t shown any signs of food aggression and will often swap bowls with his K9 friend. He loves his treats which will be great for his ongoing training as he is very food motivated.
Independence
Whilst Krispy has been in foster care, he has only been left on his own (without his K9 friend) for a half a day and he was very well behaved. He just played with his toys. He can however, if left for too long find items around the backyard that look good to chew lol. He’s very cute to watch and entertain himself. He can be a barker if he hears a noise from the neighbours to alert you, but he’s been very good otherwise. Krispy Kreme loves to be with his people and would prefer his family to be around more often than not, he just wants to be loved.
Bathing and Hygiene
Krispy Kreme came into foster care with a very long and mattered coat- he hadn’t been groomed for a while. We had him groomed straight away and he was a very well-behaved boy. He felt much better after his pamper session which he will require regularly.
Sleeping
Krispy sleeps in the lounge room at nighttime in his crate with his K9 friend. He’s such a good boy when it’s bedtime, he goes straight in his crate when asked and patiently waits for his bedtime treat. He makes no noises through the night unless he needs to go outside for the toilet. He will patiently wait until someone wakes up in the morning and lets him outside without any noise.
Exercise
Krispy Kreme is really becoming more confident and enjoying his walks. He’s learning very quickly on the lead and loves to sniff the grass and check out what’s going on around him. Being only a small boy and loving his food, regular walks would benefit him from putting on any extra weight. He has been happy with a 15-20 min walk but he is only young so he would probably slowly enjoy increasing the distance.
Inside the Home
Krispy Kreme loves to be inside with his foster family and is definitely an inside boy. He will require a patient family to give him regular toilet breaks outside as his happy time is inside with his family. He does get a little excited and runs in each room to check what everyone is doing- especially his foster mum. His K9 friend can encourage his excitement and they rev each other up just like kids lol He just wants to be your little shadow. You couldn’t get a sweeter boy if you tried.
Ideal Home
Krispy Kreme’s ideal home is to be with a family/couple that’s home more often than not. A home where he can be an inside dog and have regular walks each day. He would be fine in a home with a female K9 friend who is as easy going and submissive as he is. Krispy needs a home with a patient, kind and quieter family to help him adjust and settle in. A family to assist with his ongoing training needs and allow him to be an inside family member and give him lots of love, tummy pats and cuddles. He’s such a gentle and loveable boy who deserves nothing but the best. He’s a little treasure. 😊
