Meet Jasper – Your Loyal, Bird-Chasing, Beach-Loving Buddy!
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
Age: 4 years
Sex: Male
Jasper is a handsome 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel with a big heart and a big personality. He’s happiest when he’s outside chasing birds, swimming at the beach, or curled up next to you for cuddles—on his own terms, of course! He loves affection and quality time with his people, and he’s always up for an adventure or a cozy nap nearby.
Jasper is very food-motivated and enjoys mealtime, but he prefers not to share his food or toys with other dogs. He’s currently living with another pup, but he can get a bit possessive and may guard his food or intimidate her away from hers. For this reason, we believe Jasper would thrive as the only dog in the home, where he can relax and not feel the need to compete for resources.
He does best when he can stay close to his people—being shut out or isolated (even briefly) makes him anxious and upset. Jasper can be sensitive to being grabbed or restrained, especially by unfamiliar people or kids, and this has led to one incident with a child when food and another dog were involved. While he’s not an aggressive dog by nature, he does need a calm, experienced adult-only home (or one with older teens) that understands dog body language and can respect his boundaries.
Ideal Home for Jasper:
Adults or families with older teens
Dog-savvy, patient, and understanding of resource guarding
No other pets
A home where he’s not left alone or shut out frequently
Someone who enjoys outdoor time—Jasper LOVES the beach!
Jasper is a loving, loyal companion with so much to give. He just needs the right environment and people who understand his needs. With the right match, Jasper will thrive and bring endless joy, loyalty, and goofy moments to your life.
If you think Jasper sounds like your perfect pup, get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!
