About Hugo and Rocky
Hugo Dennis
Hi, I’m Hugo! Aka, Hoogie or Hugo Dennis, master of resting judge face and lover of nighttime snuggles. I’m quite the athlete - playing fetch with Wombat IS MY FAVOURITE THING TO DO!
I have alopecia, which means I’m not a fully floofed chihuahua, but it doesn’t affect my health in any way, it just means I’m pretty nakey and have to be careful in the sun (and eating chicken can make my skin itchy). Early morning or early evening walks are my favorite!
I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet, but I come with my buddy Rocky. Rocky and I love hanging out with the humans and keep each other company when they have to go out. Sometimes when Rocky is nervous, I pick on him but my foster humans have learnt how to stop me getting frustrated and they’re helping Rocky with being brave. So they said it would be nice if my forever humans are patient, kind and calm because that’s how we learn best.
…
Rocky and Hugo are both so different but in complimentary ways and are a blast to have around. The boys weren’t great at toileting when they first came into foster care but have both come a long way. They would love a little yard they can potter around in and some shrubs to wee on. Rocky can get a bit nervous at times and Hugo can sometimes try to get him in line, but they have come a long way and are both so good at responding to positive reinforcement. Once they have settled, these quirky kids will bring you so much love and laughter.
"We don’t love to be left for long stretches of time, so would really love if you like to hang around us as much as we love to hang around you."
Medical notes
7 year old Hugo is desexed and microchipped. He is up to date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
Hudo had a dental recently with several extractions which is common for the breed.
Hugo has some alopecia which is also common in the ‘blue’ coloured chihuahuas.
His patellas are stable.
