Meet Bobby

Bobby is a young boy located in Perth who is looking for a home that understands the needs of a smart, energetic working-type dog.

Bobby is a bright and intelligent boy who enjoys engaging with people and learning new things. He responds really well to training and clearly enjoys having a job to do. When he is working with someone who is guiding him, his focus and willingness to learn really shine through. Bobby would suit someone who enjoys training, walking and spending time actively engaging with their dog.

Like many young working breed mixes, Bobby has plenty of energy and curiosity about the world. He does best when life has structure, routine and clear expectations. In busy or highly stimulating environments he can become a little overwhelmed, so he would likely be happiest in a calmer household where he can settle and build confidence.

Bobby would suit an active home that enjoys getting out and about, but also understands the importance of mental enrichment and training for a clever dog like him. Someone who enjoys building a strong bond with their dog and guiding them with patience and consistency will get the best out of Bobby.

Bobby may prefer to be the only dog in the home, however he could potentially live with a calm and well balanced dog with slow introductions. He can be unsure of unfamiliar dogs when on lead, so a home that is happy to continue building his confidence in this area would be ideal.

What Bobby needs most is someone willing to invest time in him. In the right home, with structure, exercise and ongoing training, Bobby has the potential to become a very rewarding companion.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies and dogs may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
