At just one year old, Lupa is a beautiful German Shepherd cross with a heart full of love and loyalty. She’s the kind of dog who picks her person and loves them with everything she’s got. Whether she’s resting her head on your feet, gently following you from room to room, or curling up close for a nap, Lupa just wants to be with you – always.

This sweet girl has so much potential, and she’s looking for someone just as special to help her shine. Lupa was raised with her sister and sadly developed littermate syndrome, meaning she now struggles with separation anxiety. She will bark, howl, and pace when left alone – but all of this is simply because she loves hard and doesn’t want to lose her person again.

Lupa needs a calm, confident home where someone is home most of the time and willing to gently help her feel safe when apart. She’s a work in progress, but with patience, love, and consistency, she’ll reward you tenfold with loyalty that can’t be taught – it’s just who she is.

She’s been friendly with dogs of all sizes, although she’s more of a sniff-and-observe type than a playful park pup (dog parks can be overwhelming for her). Training is still new to Lupa, but she’s responsive and eager to please – she just needs someone with breed experience who’s ready to guide her with love and structure.

Lupa walks on lead and is currently learning not to pull. With time, she’ll be your dream walking buddy – protective, attentive, and proud to stand by your side.
