Hi there, I’m Choccocheena! 💛

I’m a sweet and snuggly Kelpie x with a heart of gold. I really like my humans and being part of the family & I’m gentle and patient when it comes to kids.

I get along really well with other dogs and my foster mum thinks having a doggie friend will help use up some of my boundless energy… but it’s not essential as long as I’m getting LOTS of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Like… LOTS!

I loooove cuddles and would be over the moon if I’m allowed on the couch for a snuggle. I get free range of my foster home because I’m such a good girl. I adapt well and can sleep in my crate overnight, though lately I get to sleep in the human bed hehe! I heard that I’m getting my own bed soon that will go on the floor of the bedroom, so I’ll letcha know how that goes!

I’m toilet trained and know how to use a doggy door. I won’t say no if you’re around lots—and I’ll boop you with my nose or let out a woof if I’m in the mood for pats or play (spoiler: I often am). I can hang out on my own if I need to. If I get bored I might run around outside and bark at birds & stuff, which I’m told isn’t ideal, so it’s a work in progress!

Now, I’ve hung out with a nifty trainer who says I’m a dominant girl & I need someone who can commit to my training with patience and leadership. I’ve got some good basics down, and I’m a clever cookie. I’m working on my leash manners—I’m not too bad if you keep me in check, but moving cars really, really scare me so I can get riled up. I need someone who’ll help me take it slow and steady there. Because of my reaction to cars, even though my recall is good, off-lead isn’t on the cards right now because zoomy things are just too hard to resist if I happen to see them!

I’m looking for a home that’s happy to continue my training and love me through my learning. I often hear that I’m a heart melter and that with consistency, love and some hard work, I can be a dream dog!
