Meet Lobster,
Lobster is a gentle, affectionate soul with a sensitive heart and a peaceful nature. He’s the kind of cat who will quietly observe the world around him, then chirp and chatter to let you know all his thoughts. Despite his soft and quiet ways, Lobster has a quiet confidence and a friendly spark that makes him easy to love.
This lovely boy is perfectly suited to first-time cat owners and fits easily into just about any home. Whether you live alone or with a bustling family, Lobster adapts beautifully - he just wants to be part of your world.
He has a social side and enjoys being around people, especially if there’s a warm spot for a nap nearby. Lobster is also a pro at lounging and will happily spend hours snoozing in his favorite bed, recharging for his next day.
If you’re looking for a sweet, easy going little guy who will curl up beside you and talk about his day, Lobster might be the one for you.
Lobster is open to meet kids from 5 years & up - simply because he's a sensitive soul. Lobster loves all attention & affection. He loves to be picked up, carried and cuddled and loves to be patted & touch - everywhere - he especially loves his chin being scratched.
Lobster has low energy levels & doesn't appear to be that interested in toys - he prefers to cuddle with you, smooch you or shower you with affection.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are not sure if Lobster will be ok to live with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
As for cats, Lobster seems interest but doesn't need cat friends, either. He's the type of cat that could live with other cats or be the sole feline of the home. If introducing to other cats, just ensure that the introduction is slow and gradual - over a few days - to give both cats the best chance of getting along.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Lobster has already experienced living outside and he's taken to being an inside like a duck to water. If he is outside, it will increase his chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat he can be safe & live his best life possible.
Lobster is not fussy with his food, either - he likes all food & treats offered to him.
Staff Comments: Lobster is a scruffy looking boy but he's a true gentleman and a lover. He would love nothing more than a warm bed & lots of love from his new family. He is an easy going cat who would suit most, if not all, households.

Medical notes
Recovered Cat Flu: Historically cat flu has had a negative reputation and can often deter people from adopting; but you wouldn’t actually be able to tell a recovered cat flu cat from a non-cat flu cat. The truth is that many cat flu cats will live happy, healthy, long lives in their new home. So, what is it? Cat flu is caused by a virus. Humans can’t catch it, but other cats can; but only if the cat is showing flu symptoms. Stressful situations like desexing, or a dramatic change in environment can lead to a recovered cat experiencing cat flu again, but this is usually short lived and rarely requires medical intervention. Most cats will recover on their own providing their vaccines are up to date.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
