Meet Kaspar Peggoty, a bundle of big floofy energy that needs some
boundaries and training but will be magnificent with the right people,
who can put in some time.
He’s a very handsome boy who loves to play, loves the car and loves a
bath. He is house trained and sleeps well. He’s pretty good off lead and
knows some basic commands and responds well to guidance. He is generally
friendly with other dogs.
He’s a bit boisterous though and needs exercise to get out his teenage
energy. He also guards his food and can growl if people or other dogs
come near, but that can easily be sorted with separate meal areas.
He is quite a dominant boy, but likes very much to play with other
doggos, so a quieter female would work or a submissive dog or an only
dog, as he loves being around his people and getting attention.
Kaspar is definitely a work in progress and would suit a person or
family who is used to larger dogs, is active and can put in the time to
set some boundaries. In return he will reward you with love, good
playful energy and healthy companionship - maybe even a jogging
companion! As he is a bigger boy, small children wouldn’t work as he
might bowl them over but larger teenagers or young adults in a family
would be great. If you are looking for an active companion that you can
take on adventures, Kaspar might be your guy.
Thank you to Liv Morison of Liv Morison photography for the fantastic
photos of Kaspar.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Weight: 23.4kg.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
