Hi there, I'm Ruby!
I am a sweet little snuggle bug looking for a family who is ready to give me lots of cuddles and attention - I will try to wiggle my way onto your lap as often as I can, so if you're looking for an affectionate furry friend to keep you company then look no further! I love doing everything with people - playing with squeaky toys, watching you while you cook dinner (and trying to sneak a taste!), lounging around for a snuggle and going on nice long walks. I can be very enthusiastic about things, and sometimes need help with walking on a loose leash or remembering to have all 4 paws on the ground, but I respond well to 'sit' and down 'cues' and am eager to please!
Sometimes I can feel a little bit anxious when I'm in a new place. All I ask from my new family is to have a little bit of patience, give me lots of cuddles and a nice calm environment to settle in and I'll feel nice and relaxed in no time. It also really helps me if you leave me with squeaky toys and high value treats to chomp on when you can't be home. Storms are also quite scary to me, but the adoption team can help provide some tips on how to keep me feeling calm and safe when the thunder rolls around.
I am friendly with others dogs and can be very eager to meet them, so if you have another doggie friend in the home I'd be happy to be there buddy too, we'll just need to meet each other as well to ensure we get along.
