Allow us to introduce you to our delightful little princess, Rhani. This charming young pup is blessed with a sweet-natured disposition and a gentle personality that is sure to win over anyone who meets her. Rhani thrives in the company of other dogs, and as such, we are on the lookout for a household where she can have a canine companion or even a few furry friends to keep her company. Our stunning little shaggy girl is a 16 kilo Wolfhound x Border Collie x Terrier mix and just a smaller size medium.
Favorite Activities:
Rhani absolutely adores spending time with other dogs, engaging in playful games of chase and wrestling. She loves visiting the park where she can explore to her heart’s content. Gentle cuddles on her terms are another of her favourite pastimes, and she enjoys playing with a variety of toys that keep her entertained and stimulated. Rahni is a huge fan of water and would love a home that she can continue to enjoy water fun.
Interaction with Humans:
When it comes to interacting with people, Rhani is a bit reserved. She seems to be a lot more comfortable with females . She is seeking a calm and understanding family who will be patient and kind as she gradually builds trust with her human companions. As a young pup, Rhani did not have much exposure to people, which sometimes makes her a little unsure. In such moments, she may retreat, but she gains confidence when other dogs are around. We are therefore looking for a household with a dog or dogs that can help bolster her confidence.
Rhani is naturally curious about people and children outside the home and often shows interest by approaching for a sniff.
She is beginning to engage in play, so it is important for her future family to have the time and dedication to continue nurturing her bond with them. Rhani is not your lap dog kind of girl and prefers to keep a bit of space. It is worth noting that Rhani has never shown any signs of aggression.
Obedience and Training:
Rhani is an eager learner and is currently mastering basic commands such as sit, come, and drop. She would greatly benefit from continued training at a local obedience school. Inside the home, she is well-behaved, but as she is still a puppy, she should not be left unsupervised as she may get into mischief by chewing on things she shouldn’t.
Animal Social Skills:
Rhani is a social butterfly when it comes to interacting with other dogs. She has experience living in multi-dog households and is respectful of each dog’s unique personality. She enjoys engaging in play and is looking for a calm, playful mate to hang out with.
Independence:
Rhani is quite content to be on her own when outside the house. She rarely barks unless she is excited during playtime. Occasionally, she may bark for a minute or two when first put outside, but she quickly settles down. Like all mischievous puppies, Rhani enjoys chewing on things, so her future home should have a yard with minimal items that could be chewed. Providing her with toys, Kongs, and cow hooves helps keep her occupied. After a good walk and play session, she is generally well-behaved.
Food Habits:
Rhani is highly food-motivated, which makes training sessions particularly effective when she is hand-fed. She is comfortable eating around other dogs but does have a tendency to share bowls. Currently, she is fed dry puppy kibble.
Hygiene: Rhani has a medium-length rough coat that does shed, although not excessively. She enjoys being brushed and scratched, which helps maintain her coat’s health and appearance. She has had the occasional accident inside but is 90% toilet trained. She is toileted every morning and night before bed
Sleeping Habits:
Rhani is adaptable when it comes to sleeping arrangements, as she is happy to sleep either inside or outside. She is very quiet at night and sleeps soundly on her bed.
Car Travel:
Rhani is an excellent traveler and handles car rides well, making her a great companion for road trips and outings.
Exercise Needs:
Being an active breed, Rhani requires regular walks and mental stimulation to keep her happy and healthy. She is good on a leash, not pulling excessively, although she does have a tendency to zigzag a bit.
Off-leash, she enjoys staying close to other dogs, and her recall is impressive for her age, especially when rewarded generously upon returning. She has been practicing recall on a long lead.
Inside the Home:
Rhani has a charming habit of lying on the floor with her dainty little paws crossed. She is polite indoors and rarely jumps on the couch, preferring to lie on the floor. However, she does have a penchant for stealing things she’s not supposed to, so she would not be suited to a home where she has access to items when no one is home.
Medical Information: Rhani has been thoroughly vet-checked, desexed, and is in excellent health.
Ideal Home: Rhani is in search of a home with another energetic canine companion. We are open to considering a multi-dog household for her, as she is very comfortable around other dogs. She needs a playmate with the stamina to match her puppy energy. Her ideal family will be one that continues to build her trust with people and ensures she is exposed to different places outside the home. A family with children would be suitable, provided they understand dog boundaries and are kind and patient with her. A home with a decent-sized yard for play is essential, as apartments or small yards will not be considered suitable for her needs.
Rahni mist go to a home that has a min of 1 playful dog. This is not negotiable as she gains her confidence from other dogs so the more the merrier for Rahni .
