Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Rambo
Are you looking for a sock bandit who will make you laugh with some crazy antics that I get up too?
If the answer is yes – then look no further – Meet me - I’m Rambo aka the One-Eye Sock Bandit and I'm a 4 year and 11 month old Pug!
I do weigh 11.7kgs
I have come into care thru a private surrender as my humans had to go overseas for a family member and couldn't risk me flying international (or not being allowed back into Australia) So here I am - ready to find my new fun furever home!
I lost my eye many years ago thru an accident, but this does not slow me down one bit, although I may bump into things when I'm excited, but I just take it all in stride with my joyful, goofy spirit.
I asked my foster mum to describe me, and she said a boy with a big heart who is full of love, a big personality and serious sock obsession.
She says I am a sweet one-eyed Pug who is on the lookout for a family who will let me be their loyal shadow, a sock thief and a snuggle buddy all in one!
I love to be around my humans, and you will often find me tottering behind one following them or lounging on the couch, the bed okay and yeah, the laundry basket - but my theory is if I lay on them it will help iron them!
My foster mum says I'm the perfect combo of playful and chill. I love a fun game or a good walk, but I'm equally happy curling up for a snooze afterward.
Now I do have a bark, and I will use it to warn mum of the stranger walking past the house but once I've realised they aren't here to visit me I just will go back to doing what I was doing.
I have lived with kids of all ages and while sometimes I can be playful and use my butt weight to knock them I do try very hard to be playful and polite.
I am not tested on cats
I have always lived with another dog and I do like to have a bit of a play but I'm also very polite and if they tell me to go away - I do!
I am toilet trained and can use the dog door like a champ!
I am learning the crate for sleeping but would very happily sleep on the bed or the couch.
My favorite spot is wherever you are – I’ll follow you everywhere just to be near you and there has been reports to the adoption coordinator of me even happily keeping you company while you're on the toilet. I don't have separation anxiety I'm just a pug!!!
I like to go for a walk (about 30 mins and only with the right weather, because you know I'm a pug!)
Now you may ask about my favorite pastime well that's hunting for socks, like it’s a full-time job. My foster family lovingly call me “Dobby” thanks to my devotion to socks.
I also enjoy toys and treats, though I'm not too fussed about performing for snacks – praise and love go a long way baby!
I also know how to sit, and we are working on “stay,”
My ideal home will be with someone who is home more often than not or who works from home - you know everything that a pug wants in life!
So, if you're looking for a cute short fat guy that is funny and affectionate with a heart as big as my personality or even a loyal sidekick, well then that's me!!!!!!!
I'm ready to steal your heart (and probably your socks)!

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
