About Spud STA013717
Meet Spud, a distinguished and handsome gentleman in search of the perfect human to share his love for life’s simple pleasures. Spud isn’t one for lavish attention; he prefers a life of relaxation and contentment over fuss and ado. He understands that the heart of joy lies in the satisfaction of a full food bowl and the peace of a cozy nap.
Spud thrives in tranquil surroundings, making him an ideal companion for a calm and low-key household. With a profound love for comfort, he is happiest when he has a soft bed, inviting couch, or a cozy chair to curl up on. A sunlit window is his favourite spot, where he can leisurely watch the world move by outside. He isn't interested in the hustle and bustle of a large household; instead, he seeks the quiet companionship of one or two devoted humans who cherish the joys of simple living as much as he does.
If you're looking for a mellow companion who appreciates the art of leisure and offers companionship without overwhelming demand, Spud might just be the couch potato you need in your life. With Spud, each day is a reminder that happiness can be as simple as a sunny window and a warm lap.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
