About Penny rsuk001769
Meet Penny, a sweet and shy lady with a quiet charm and a gentle soul. Penny is an endearing presence in any calm and serene home. While her initial shyness and cautious demeanor may keep her at a distance when meeting new people or exploring new environments, over time, she transforms into a loving and loyal family member.
Penny's ideal lifestyle includes a home that's not too bustling with other pets or children but offers quiet moments filled with gentle attention. She’ll settle comfortably into her own nook, relishing the security of a designated safe space where she can unwind at her leisure. Though she loves attention and enjoys playtime, Penny is happiest in the company of a considerate owner who understands her need for occasional solo time.
Her fondness for couch cuddles makes her a perfect companion for evenings spent relaxing and unwinding. While she adores being part of a cozy household, Penny prefers to keep her paws firmly grounded—she doesn’t enjoy being picked up but is always ready for some quality bonding from the comfort of your lap.
Penny is seeking an indoor-only home as she has never experienced the outdoors. Her new family will need to understand the importance of patience during her adjustment period as she gradually becomes a cherished member of the household.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
