Meet Johnny Cash, an undeniably cool and handsome feline with a soft heart and a gentle spirit. His striking appearance is sure to capture your attention. However he has been at our rescue now for quiet a while and missing the opportunity to become his best self, find his special person and grow into a confidence, fun loving house cat.

Johnny Cash thrives on companionship and would fit in well with another cat who is looking for a friend, thanks to his non-dominant and relaxed nature. His has also shown a loving and gentle temperament around kittens and many new arrivals into the rescue.

While initially very shy and reserved even a bit skittish at times, Johnny Cash really needs to find that special home so he can blossom in an environment where he feels secure and cherished. Where he is able to gradually build trust and confidence in people. He is seeking a home where he can slowly build bonds and uncover his affectionate side.

With treats as a bridge to his heart, you'll find a path to his trust and companionship. Watching Johnny Cash grow, and seeing his shy nature transform into warmth and affection, is an experience that promises deep fulfillment and joy.

Johnny Cash would really suit a quiet relaxed household, he is independent and happy to find a place to relax, while also needing someone who can spend time working with him to help him become a house cat and learn to love again.

As of 1st August 2025, our adoption fees will be adjusted to help cover rising vet and care costs. The new fees are as follows:

Kittens (1 vaccination): $400
Kittens (2 vaccinations): $450
Adult & Adolescent Cats (9+ months): $280
Breed cats will be listed with a separate adoption fee based on their individual profile.

Change of ownership is included in the adoption fee.

All 2nd Chance Cat Rescue cats are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and come with a take home pack. We transfer the change of Ownership free of charge into your name.
