NOTE: You are unable to meet Eli until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Eli in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as boisterous dogs scare me so I will require lots of socialisation with positive experiences with other dogs.
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• Being an active breed I have a lot of energy so an active family is a must!

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being bouncy, I would hate to accidently knock them over and hurt them

My best features:
• Snuggle Bug
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit, shake hands, lay down & stay when asked
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered boy
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I am used to being allowed inside and sleeping in a crate
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I can be very bouncy when excited, further training with positive reinforcement should help with this
• I can pull quite strongly on the lead when I am excited, further on leash training should help with this. I am used to walking in a harness.
• My previous owner said that I was reactive to other dogs around food so if going to a home with another dog you will need to feed us separately
• I am not a fan of mowers/whipper snippers and will try to chase them
