Meet Wheeler,
Wheeler is everyone’s best friend! He’s loyal, loving, and always close by, ready for kisses or a good play session. He’s got a sweet, shy nature and fits in easily with other dogs and children of all ages. Wheeler is the perfect mix of fun and affection - just waiting for his forever family to find him!
Wheeler would be a wonderful addition to any home — whether yours is a lively, bustling household or a peaceful retreat. He is adaptable, friendly, and eager to learn, making him a great fit for both first-time and experienced dog owners. Wheeler is affectionate and doesn't mind being picked up, carried, and cuddled so he would be suitable for families with children.
As he grows, Wheeler would love to join an active family or individual who enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether it's beach trips, bush walks, or weekend picnics, he will be your enthusiastic little sidekick! If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and adventurous pup to complete your family, he might just be the perfect match!
Dog-friendly? Yes! Wheeler is open to meeting other dogs.
Cat-friendly? Unknown - we haven’t been able to test, so it’s up to her new family to introduce him carefully.
Kid-friendly? Absolutely! He open to meeting children of all ages.
Considerations:
Wheeler would love a yard, with high secure fencing, so that she can play in it safely. He dreams of a home with toys - lots of toys! As well as daily exercise/walks to keep his body physically fit & his mind mentally fit. Treat/food puzzles are a great tool and great way to keep active puppy minds engaged!
Wheeler is starting to explore her surrounds & is growing in confidence each & every day. However, it would be a wise move to invest in a crate & start crate training. This type of training is not only a highly valuable skill to have but is a great skill for any dog to learn and know.
Wheeler should be enrolled into puppy training classes as soon as he is adopted. These classes & training will set him up for life and will allow him to learn social skills & etiquette, as well as define her manners. These classes & training will also teach him how to appropriately interact with other dogs as well as other animals & people. These training classes will also assist his new owner, as they can both learn new skills together.
If you've got other animals at home, that's okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
