The Maltese dog, with its small stature and loving nature, is a delightful companion
to have. Known for their affectionate behaviour, these charming little dogs adore
sitting on their owners lap or even perched on their shoulder, seeking closeness and
comfort.
Affectionate and Sociable
Starlight is renowned for her friendly disposition. She thrives on human interaction
and form deep bonds with her owners. Her affectionate nature makes her a perfect
lap dog, content to spend hours nestled close to her favourite person.
Playful Yet Nervous
Despite her small size, Starlight is playful and enjoys the company of other dogs.
She engages in joyful playtime, often exhibiting a spirited and lively demeanour.
However, she can be quite nervous around loud noises. This sensitivity to sound
requires a gentle and calm environment to help her feel secure and comfortable.
Ideal Companions
With her loving nature and playful spirit, Starlight would make an ideal companion for
those seeking a loyal and affectionate pet. Her need for close human contact means
she is happiest when they can be near their owners, providing endless love and
companionship.
In conclusion, Starlight’ s combination of affectionate lap-sitting, playful interactions
with other dogs, and their sensitivity to loud noises make them a unique and
endearing breed. They bring immense joy and warmth to any household, thriving in
environments where they are cherished and adored.
House Training is a work in progress but has learnt to use the dog door. Lead
walking is not a problem because she weighs less than 5kg. Starlight will initially
fight the lead but settles when she realises that she is going for a walk.
With her delicate frame, a forever home where she will not be left on her own for
lengthy periods would be best. Not tested with cats, but she is only 14 months old
so could co-habit with careful meetings. Older children who would know to be
careful with her would be best
