About Maggie
Meet Maggie – The slippery puppy with a Heart of Gold 🐾
Maggie is a small mixed breed bursting with puppy charm, energy, and a whole lot of love to give. With her super long legs, slender frame, and oversized puppy paws, Maggie often takes on the characteristics of a slippery eel – she has a very special talent for sliding off couches like an eel when she gets comfy!
This sweet and playful girl adores endless games of tug-o-war, fetch with her chew toys, and exploring the world around her. She’s a bundle of energy and enthusiasm who would thrive in a home with a secure yard where she can zoom, sniff, and make happy puppy sounds to her heart’s content.
Though she is only 7 months old, she has learn to sit and shake and is semi toilet trained and has learnt to use a doggie door.
As a young pup, Maggie is still learning the ropes of being a good house dog. She sleeps wonderfully on her own and can be left alone for short periods, but if she’s not given enough mental stimulation or guidance, she can find her own entertainment—like nibbling on couch cushions! A family that can offer her regular playtime, structure, and patience as she grows will be ideal.
Maggie has previously lived with a larger dog and currently lives with a 4-year-old Jack Russell mix. She’s friendly and playful with her housemate though she can sometimes be a little demanding with her play.
When it comes to kids, Maggie is gentle but full of bouncy puppy energy. She would be best suited to children over 10 or those with previous dog experience, as smaller kids may find her enthusiasm a little overwhelming as she loves to jump and give kisses.
Maggie walks beautifully on lead and enjoys her walks once she gains her confidence, although she can be spooked by unfamiliar bigger dogs or surroundings at first. With gentle encouragement and routine, she becomes a wonderful walking buddy.
One thing to note—Maggie is a little wary of men in the home. While she is not aggressive, she may bark protectively and act cautiously around male residents. With patience, calm reassurance, and time to build trust, Maggie will settle in, but she may always be a bit more guarded in this area.
Maggie would thrive with:
A yard to run and explore freely
An active home ready for play and training
Kids over 10 or dog-savvy younger kids
A patient family who can continue her socialization, especially with men
Another friendly dog (optional, but a bonus!)
If you're ready to welcome a quirky, loveable, long-legged bundle of joy into your life, Maggie might just be your perfect match. 🐶💕
