About Hazel
Meet Hazel, the delightful 5-year-old Dachshund with a charming personality and quite the character. Hazel is a little bundle of joy who may be small in stature but has a big heart full of love. She has an enchanting blend of shyness and outgoing spirit, making her a unique and endearing companion.
Hazel may seem timid when you first meet her, but give her a little time, and you'll discover her truly outgoing and playful side. Hazel has experience living with both dogs and cats and seems to get along well with them. She still needs some lead training—an opportunity for her new family to bond with her through rewarding and constructive activity. She does better with older kids and adults who can understand her cues.
Important to note is Hazel's food guarding tendency. You'll need to work on her food aggression; she can become possessive around her meals, so a home familiar with positive behavioral training methods would be a perfect match for her.
If you're ready to welcome a delightful, pint-sized companion with a touch of mystery and a heart full of potential, consider adopting Hazel, who is eager to find a loving home with a family who understands her needs and embraces her charming quirks.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
