About Doug, the brindle greyhound
If you are interested in Doug, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/kpSn4PdsS2Uc7gDt6
Meet Doug – a big, beautiful greyhound boy with a happy tail and an even happier heart! Doug is full of personality, charm, and love to give. He’s equally at home in an apartment or a house, and he’s happy either as a solo dog or with a calm canine companion. Doug is great with alone time, often entertaining himself or settling easily with his beloved licky mat or snuffle toy.
He’s a social butterfly who enjoys the company of people and is friendly with children, though he can get a little excited at times, so a home with dog-savvy kids would be ideal. Doug is still learning how to walk politely on lead—he zigzags enthusiastically to sniff all the smells—but he's making great progress and absolutely loves his walks and zoomies.
At night, Doug sleeps soundly, and in the mornings, he greets the day with energy and affection. Once he’s had his cuddles and a little enrichment, he settles beautifully. He’s even learnt to play fetch and return! Doug loves his food, enjoys watching TV (yes, really!), and brings a gentle, fun-loving energy to every room he enters.
He’s still building confidence around other breed dogs, but with continued positive socialisation, he’ll thrive. Doug would suit an experienced owner or a confident, patient first-timer who’s active and ready to continue supporting his journey.
If you're looking for a loving, playful companion with a big presence and an even bigger heart, Doug could be your perfect match.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
