About Freddy
Meet Freddy, the bashful yet charming 4-year-old Silky Terrier. This adorable little fellow may be shy and anxious initially, but with patience and love, he has the potential to blossom into a loving companion.
Freddy needs a gentle home where he can feel secure and safe. While he may take some time to warm up, Freddy is a sweet soul at heart. His endearing habit of rolling onto his back demonstrates his submissive nature and willingness to trust humans.
Freddy's past experiences have made him cautious, especially around new dogs. Structured and gentle introductions will be essential to help him make canine friends. Although he might seem a bit unsure around cats, with proper guidance, his confidence can be nurtured.
His adopters should be prepared for some initial nervousness, but once Freddy settles in, he will become a devoted member of the family. Though he needs proper lead training, with positive reinforcement and consistent practice, this sweet boy can turn walks into a joyful experience for both him and his new family. Freddys new owners need to be aware that he doesn't seem to be toilet trained.
Freddy would make an excellent companion for someone who understands the patience required to help an anxious dog feel at home. With time, love, and the assurance of safety, Freddy is sure to shine and will bring an abundance of joy to his forever family.
Medical notes
Freddy had a dental scale and clean performed under GA.
It was also observed that he has hind limb dew claws.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
