About Murphy
If you want a low maintenance dog Murphy is your boy.
He loves being outside.
Will sit at the door to go outside after a nap or quick tour inside.
He is cuddly but only in short doses.
Loves lying out in the sun
Would recommend family that already has a dog as he LOVES the company of all dogs but not so much alone.
Super friendly with kids being fostered with a family of kids ranging from 7months to 3years old he’s used to being poked pushed and pulled.
Loves his toys.
Very placid and gentle.
Forgetting he is as big as he is most of the time.
He sits and attempts to shake before eating.
Also woke touch his food until being told.
He isn’t the best on the lead rather just lay down on the ground.
With some training I’m sure he would be better. Or might just be lazy.
He’s great in the car.
He would be the perfect family dog!
With the most beautiful soft nature.

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
