She's a little shy at first and will need an experienced owner who understands the breed's unique traits and needs. As a Heeler, Lilly is intelligent, active, and loyal, but she does best in a quiet adult only environment with no young children.

Lilly thrives when her boundaries are respected, so she'll need a home where her owners are patient and gentle, allowing her to gradually open up at her own pace. In return, she'll give you her affection, loyalty, and the kind of companionship that only a Heeler can offer. She does prefer women over men, so preferably a female only home.

She may be open to sharing a home with another well-matched dog pending a meet & greet at the shelter, so please ensure your pooch tags along for a play date.
